Intermediate Algebra

I. Catalog Description and Credit Hours of Course:
Polynomials, factoring, equations and inequalities in one and two variables, rational
expressions, rational exponents, quadratic equations, and systems of linear equations. (3)

II. Prerequisite(s):
MA 090 with a grade of 'C' or higher, or ACT Math subscore of 18-20, or ACT Math
subscore of 17 or below with MA 090 placement score of 11 or higher.

III. Purposes or Objectives of the Course:
To prepare students for college level mathematics.
